How many conversations were about where the modern gamdev was rolling: lootboxes, constant transfer of terms, raw early access, a mismatch of expectations with reality, greedy publishers who prevent the developers from grinding their project, again lazy developers, that from year to year they will copy their creations into a new stiff. So why am I writing about exactly about PREY? Probably because the degree of study of a very large number of aspects I have not seen in any modern aaa toy. Why? I’ll tell you now.
Before proceeding, directly, to the “licking” of our toy, I simply must say a few words about the technical component: “Lord, how good it is, even my bucket was drawn, even on medium, incredibly, this has not happened for many centuries!”. Khm-km. Let’s start.

At the same time, the main highlight of the studio remained in the game: variability. But in this case, a reasonable question arises: could the game become a copy of any Dishonored with neuromodes instead of Outsider’s abilities? Who knows. However, did not. The game feels the spirit of the design of this studio, which is in every game of it, but Arkane managed to create something completely original: shooter, stealth, horror, construction simulator with mounting foam! Without reducing variability, the creators managed to create new, suitable setting of mechanics that fit perfectly into the game.
Prey I passed twice: for the first time I was striving for every rustle, hid in the corners, was very careful and. The game angered me. After the middle of the plot, I did not have enough cartridges or first -aid kits, there was nothing at all. In the end, I, an echoed casual, had to reduce the difficulty to a minimum and just run the locations: I had nothing to kill typhones. I remained upset and with a blazing famous place. Saw how the flamethrower works for local robots? That’s about the same.
And what happened then? Ng+, of course, otherwise I would not consider this game one of the best in the present! Scheduled cartridges and injecting somewhere several aliens’ abilities. I started playing thoughts. Seriously: Prey was no longer the main character of the game. Prey was now all his enemies, whom the reckless guy with a shotgun blew, shot, bowed to his side, appeared in the most unexpected places and arranged such chaos in a fraction of a second, any mess in the dark messenger would envy kotroma! Yes, sometimes it was necessary to hide, but it was still difficult and it was necessary to think through the tactics. But the main thing is interesting. It was exciting. It was a poggers. (Sorry)
Yes, in Prey one stealth or only you will not be fed up with shootings. You have to combine, and this cocktail is real ragweed. Yes, this is “not for everyone”, yes, I will not describe with my shortcomings, but at least to try – be sure to.
So why this article is generally? Why would she exist? I am a simple gamer, not particularly demanding, not particularly sophisticated, but even I see that a complete. Yes, how is this word then. Cringe, in! I see endless conveyors of the same type of brown mass, unjustified hopes, eternal lie. I want people to be able to find something for themselves, let not even from the latest games, which will be for them the bar the quality on which they will want to spend money and time. Why is the next God-dimensional garbage out of year to year from under the same playful handles of industry giants that they only seek to find more money? Because they buy it, but really good games like the described Prey do not become so popular and profitable for production. They are different. They are risk. But the production of games arose: the risk was everywhere.
Even if not PREY, even if you fundamentally disagree with me: do not demand a small one from the developers. Otherwise, we can be in the same place as most games for mobile devices)
